Big brother grows up

11 Jan

At little brother’s expense, unfortunately.

To be honest I’m surprised that I’m even considering posting this. It might make me a bad parent. But I assure you, I am not sharing this video because I think it is funny, but rather because it is the first time anything like this has occurred with my boys. And it’s a little funny. Not at the time, of course. More now that little brother’s swelling has gone down.

Big bro had that shifty look in his eye all day long, pushing sleds in front of people, jumping on snow men. After this one, however, the whole “boys will be boys” argument wasn’t quite enough to quell mommy’s (rational and controlled) wrath. Keep a close watch at what’s in his hand that ends up in little bro’s face at the end of the video.

Oh, and about the beginning of the clip. I know it looks like little brother is crying because his dad is about to shove him down a snow hill. But if you listen closely you can hear him saying he’s cold.

Believe me or don’t. I’m obviously an awful parent anyway.

It was the icy snowball to the face at the end that gave little dude a bloody lip. Sooooo sad.
